Lack of education and illiteracy in girls denies them having a good knowledge and skills needed for enhancing their status in society. Educating the girl child helps in realizing her hidden potential, gives her freedom to think, act, question and judge world smartly and independently.
Imparting education to girls enables them make wise decisions, teaches civic sense and help them to lead a respectful life.
In May of 2013, The Chase Group Foundation made a commitment to the Starehe Girls Centre to educate at least 5 of their form one students throughout high school. Over and above the sponsorship of the girls through funding the, The Foundation is committed to a mentorship program for the girls.
The Chase Group Foundation participated in the annual Starehe Girls Charity walk in June 2013 through production of t-shirts for sale during the walk. This year, The Chase Group Foundation equally sponsored the production of the t-shirts for sale valued at kes 2,000,000 which went towards raising funds for the upkeep and education of the girls.
